ASSISTANT MANAGER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF ASSISTANT MANAGERS

In the absence of the Owners, Assistant Managers should run the store with the same level of standards as if he or she were here. To assist in this goal, this list of priorities has been developed.

• Assistant Managers are considered “Full Time Employees” and are expected to be available to work a flexible work schedule of up to 50 hours per week. Overtime may be scheduled time to time with prior approval.

• Produces business results in accordance with budgeted expectations. i.e., sales, labor, and other store operating expenses.

• Exercises a high level of professional care in cash handling responsibilities, verifies daily deposits and promptly accounts for discrepancies.

• Ensures that the store is properly staffed, and all personnel are in the proper uniform, properly trained in sales techniques and store operating procedures.

• Make sure that team members are always serving guests quickly and courteously, and that the company’s structured processes and procedures are being used.

•Team members should be given detailed work instructions at the beginning of their shift, and you should follow up throughout their shift to make sure it gets done.

• Completes all inventories as scheduled and orders product/supplies according to stated procedure. Follows “model stock” guidelines provided by Management.

• Follows company policies/procedures as they relate to hiring, training, and progressive corrective action. Prepares and conducts performance evaluations of store personnel in accordance with company policy. Responsibilities:

• Maintains store cleanliness to the highest standard in accordance with company policy. Maintains and adheres to OSHA standards.

• Orientation of new Team Members, initial and ongoing training, including certification per position through modular training and practical assessments.

• Ensures all Team Members are clocked in and out on their scheduled times, including breaks.

• Immediately and respectfully responds to guest requests. Reports guest complaints to immediate supervisor and assists in resolving such complaints.

• Performs other essential duties as directed by the owners

 

ADMINISTRATION

Ordering & Inventory – Assistant Managers must know the proper ordering procedures for all inventoried items. Orders must be placed on time and ensuring we never run out of products.

  • Employee Scheduling – Must be capable of scheduling staff appropriately to ensure efficiency and quality of service.

  • Accounting –Managers are ultimately responsible for the daily accounting of the store

  • Handle Register Tills - Opening, mid-day cash drops, EOD, closing deposit & paperwork.

 

PERSONNEL ADMINISTRATION

  • Hiring – The Assistant Manager will assistant with the hiring/coaching/training of all personnel.

  • Assistant Manager should understand staff skill levels and areas of weakness. Managers must continually strive to upgrade the staff to optimal levels.

  • Adheres to and monitors employee compliance of the drive-in restaurant employee handbook, policies and practices

 

CLEANLINESS

  • Assistant Manager must have attention to detail regarding cleanliness in the store by providing immediate feedback and review of cleanliness tasks daily.

  • Always keep the store clean. Assistant Managers should step outside the store once every hour and look at it from the guest’s perspective and then correct anything that does not look right

  • Enforce daily, bi-weekly & monthly cleaning and maintenance programs, and initiate immediate corrective action whenever necessary.

  • Install the “clean-as-you-go” philosophy into team members.

  • Teach team members to emphasize cleanliness in customer sight areas such as the lobby, stations, sneeze guard, front door glass, restrooms and restaurant exterior.

  • Install a second-nature approach to daily checklists and demand consistent completion of checklists.

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs store opening and/or closing duties

  • Daily morning baking required or as needed

  • Occasional daily store runs for fresh fruits or when needed

  • Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints.

  • Display and adherence of mandatory food safety certifications, and all other required postings.

  • Oversees and trains staff on all food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with local area environmental health and safety requirements.

  • Oversees and monitors quality and presentation standards of sweets of the team members.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

YOU'VE GOT THIS?

  • A passion and love of the Krave Funnel Cones product, brand, and experience

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) - Preferred

  • Valid Food Managers Certification

  • 1-2 years restaurant management experience, preferably in Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), bakeries or dessert.

  • Basic math skills

  • Microsoft Office and general systems experience

  • Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills

  • Ability to work a changing schedule including weekends and holidays.

  • High energy to keep up with our FAST- PACED environment

  • Can work well under pressure while maintaining a consistent pace throughout your shift.

  • Ability to be on your feet for hours at a time.

  • Can lift at least 25 pounds, bend, stoop, and reach.
